grown in Italy.
Five cultivars from super-high-density and traditional groves, conventional and organic.
We supply Italian oil olives to olive mills and processing companies. Available cultivars: Arbequina, Arbosana and FS-17 Favolosa from super-high-density groves; Peranzana and Coratina from traditional groves.
All cultivars are available in both conventional and organic options.
Cultivars
Five cultivars,
two grove models.
| Variety | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Arbequina | Super-high-density | Cultivar from Catalonia, of moderate vigour, early bearing and good productivity. Ideal for super-high-density groves and mechanical harvesting. It produces an oil with a delicate fruitiness, notes of almond and apple, and light bitterness and pungency. |
| Arbosana | Super-high-density | Spanish cultivar of reduced vigour, with good productivity and late ripening. Particularly suited to high-density groves and mechanical harvesting. It produces an aromatic oil, with grassy and tomato notes and balanced bitterness and pungency. |
| FS-17 Favolosa | Super-high-density | Italian cultivar derived from Frantoio, with moderate vigour, early productivity and good adaptability. Suited to high-density groves, it is resistant to Xylella. It produces an oil with a medium fruitiness, grassy notes and distinct bitterness and pungency. |
| Peranzana | Traditional | Cultivar typical of the Alto Tavoliere area of Puglia, hardy and of medium-high vigour, used both for oil and as a table olive. It produces an extra virgin oil with a medium fruitiness, notes of tomato, almond and fresh grass, and a harmonious, balanced taste. |
| Coratina | Traditional | Apulian cultivar from Corato, vigorous, hardy and productive, with a high oil yield. Rich in polyphenols, it produces an extra virgin oil with an intense fruitiness, notes of artichoke and fresh grass, marked bitterness and pungency, and good stability over time. |

Production methods
Two models
of olive grove.
In super-high-density groves the olive trees are trained in continuous hedgerows and harvested mechanically: a model suited to cultivars of moderate vigour such as Arbequina, Arbosana and FS-17 Favolosa.
Peranzana and Coratina come from traditional groves, with widely spaced, vase-trained trees. In both cases we tell you the cultivar, origin and production method of every lot.
Typical properties
From the cultivar,
the character of the oil.
Each cultivar gives the oil its own profile: sweeter and more delicate in varieties such as Arbequina, more intense, bitter and pungent in cultivars such as Coratina.
That is why choosing the cultivar, the origin and the timing of the harvest is the first step for the olive mill and for processors. All cultivars are available in both conventional and organic options.
